28 Apr Submission on the DSP Reasonable Accommodations Fund
The Dyslexia Association of Ireland has made a submission as part of the public consultation to review the Reasonable Accommodations Fund of the Department of Social Protection. Under the Reasonable Accommodation Fund, the department can help employers and employees with a disability (including dyslexia) to take appropriate measures to help a person with a disability to access, improve or retain their employment by providing a variety of grants which currently include:
- the Workplace Equipment Adaptation Grant (WEAG)
- the Job Interview Interpreter Grant (JIIG)
- the Personal Reader Grant (PRG)
- the Employee Retention Grant (ERG)
The DAI submission outlines our recommendations on how the Reasonable Accommodation Fund could be improved. You can download and read our submission and recommendations at: https://dyslexia.ie/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Reasonable-Accommodations-Fund-Submission-FINAL-20220428.pdf.
