Vacancies for Board and Sub-Group Members

Are you interested in playing a voluntary leadership role in the Dyslexia Association of Ireland helping the association to achieve its charitable purpose and strategy? DAI’s Board of Directors is looking to recruit people from amongst our membership to a number of vacancies as follows:

  • Board member (Company Director/Charity Trustee) with expertise in Advocacy and Lobbying.
  • Board member (Company Director/Charity Trustee) with expertise in Fundraising and Marketing.

The board is interested in hearing from prospective candidates who feel they have appropriate experience for these roles, and the time to commit to these voluntary roles. Knowledge of dyslexia and of the non-profit sector would also be beneficial. Board and sub-group meetings are held on average 8 times per years, in the evening, and via Zoom.

Potential candidates should email a CV to Rosie Bissett, CEO at ceo@dyslexia.ie including a cover letter stating which of the roles they wish to be considered for. All appointments are subject to the approval of the Board of Directors whose decision is final. Suitably qualified candidates will be invited to an informal interview, as part of a due diligence process. Candidates for Board roles must be legally able to take on the role of a Company Director and Charity Trustee. See the Governance section for more info on our governance structures.
